We repair and install slate roofs with Vermont
Slate. Only copper flashing and nails are used in
our work. Time tested to last over one hundred
years, slate gives the highest value and most
esthetically pleasing roof.
If you have a slate roof and need a repair, call me
first; most roofs can be repaired and saved at a
reasonable cost. If your slate is not flaking and still
solid it has another 50 plus years of life. Slate
fastened with iron nails 100 years ago are still in
great shape here in Newport. I have samples of
120 year old nails that have plenty of life left in
them.
